Jonathan Poterson was drafted in the 1st round (34th overall) by the New York Yankees in 2004. Poterson was drafted as a catcher but was moved to the outfield once he began to play in the pros. Poterson has stuggled in 3 minor league seasons, he has never risen above A and has a .207 career batting average. He started the 2007 season with the Staten Island Yankees.
