Jon-Jon Robles got two of the three starts for the Philippines in the 2007 Asian Championship. Against the Japanese national team, he allowed 9 hits (including an Atsunori Inaba homer) and 6 runs (3 earned) in 4 innings, losing to Hideaki Wakui. Facing the South Korean national team, Robles gave up 9 hits and 8 runs in 4 2/3 IP. He was 0-2 with a 11.42 ERA for the event.

For 2008, Robles joined the Czech club Arrows Ostrava. He went 11-2 with a 1.20 ERA, striking out 149 in 120 1/3 innings while allowing 79 hits and 38 walks. He led the Extraliga in innings and strikeouts (71 more than the runner-up) and was third in ERA. He was second in opponent average behind Radek Procházka.

Returning to the Arrows for 2009, Robles was 8-9 with a save and a 1.77 ERA while also batting .257/.339/.318 as a regular position player. He was second in the league in ERA (behind Petr Minařík), second in innings (behind teammate Boris Bokaj), 5th in opponent slugging (.272), first in opponent average (.193) and opponent OBP (.245) and again led in whiffs (57 over runner-ups Bokaj and Leoš Kubát).
