[edit] Biographical Information

Jon Nunnally of the Kansas City Royals hit a homer in his first major league at-bat in 1995 against Melido Perez of the New York Yankees and went on to end his rookie season with 14 homers. Once again, he hit 14 home runs in Reds, splitting the year between the Royals and the Cincinnati Reds.

After retiring as a player, Nunnally joined the Burlington Indians as a coach in 2006 and the Kinston Indians as a coach in 2007 and 2008. In 2010, he was named hitting coach of the Cleveland Indians. He was replaced by Bruce Fields as the Indians' hitting coach on June 19, 2011. Nunnally returned to the minors in 2012 as coach of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
