Johnny Bucha served in the Navy and was discharged and on the roster of the Columbus Red Birds of the American Association for the 1945 season, also playing for the Rochester Red Wings in the late forties and early fifties. He was a catcher and appeared in 64 games for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1948 and 1950 and the Detroit Tigers in 1953. (TSN 12/7/44)
