Pittsburgh native John Wehner spent most of his major league career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. On October 1, 2000, he hit the final home run in Three Rivers Stadium.
In 2003-2004 Wehner was a coach for the Altoona Curve.
In 2005, Wehner rejoined the club as a broadcaster.
