John Joseph Quinn

John Quinn worked in the front office of the Boston Red Sox from 1929 to 1935. He was secretary (1936-1946) and General Manager of the Boston/Milwaukee Braves (1946-1958) and then the GM of the Philadelphia Phillies (1959-1972). His father, Bob Quinn, was a long-time baseball executive and also had been a Braves GM. His sons Bob E. Quinn and John Quinn Jr. became the first brothers to both win a Minor League Executive of the Year Award from The Sporting News. His daughters were Margo Quinn and Susan Quinn. His son-in-law, Roland Hemond, also went on to become a big league GM.
