John Perkovich pitched one game in the majors, for the 1950 Chicago White Sox. It was Luke Appling's last season in the majors, Chico Carrasquel's first season in the majors, and Nellie Fox's first season with the White Sox.
Born in Chicago, IL, he had been signed by the White Sox after the war.
