John Dwyer played one game in the majors in 1882. Although not a lot is known about him, SABR dug up that several newspapers mentioned him at the time. He was from Colorado but had been playing amateur ball in Iowa, although a couple papers said he was from Chicago. Source: The SABR Biographical Research Committee July / August 2000 Report.
