John Braun pitched two innings for the 1964 Braves, giving up no runs.
In 1963 he had pitched for two minor league teams, posting an ERA well under 2.00 for each of them.
On the 1964 Braves, he was the same age as teammate Rico Carty and a year younger than fellow pitcher Denny Lemaster. He was 19 years younger than Warren Spahn.
John was the first of four major league players (through 2008) with the last name Braun.
