John Batton is the twin brother of Chris Batton. He was picked by the Minnesota Twins in the 5th round of the January phase of the 1974 amateur draft. He pitched for the Elizabethton Twins that year, going 0-3 with a save and a 2.90 ERA in 14 games. He walked 27 in 31 IP and allowed 14 unbearned runs for a 6.97 RA. He went 3 for 7 at the plate.
