In 1999, John Halama tied the Seattle Mariners team record of 9 wins in a row. One of the wins, a cpmplete game shutout over the Texas Rangers, was the Mariners first complete game shutout in 90 games.
He was the first Seattle Mariner pitcher to hit a double, on June 7, 1999 off Bobby M. Jones.
on July 7, 2001, Halama threw the first nine-inning perfect game in Pacific Coast League history. His Tacoma Rainiers topped the Calgary Cannons 6-0 and earned Halama a return trip to the big leagues. (he had been demoted on June 28)
