Joe Weber was born and died in Hamilton, ON, Canada, a couple hundred miles from Detroit. He got into a couple games with the 1884 Detroit Wolverines, a team that ended up in last place in the National League, 56 games out of first place.
He was the first major leaguer born in Hamilton but not the first to die there.
