Joe Rigoli signed with the Oakland A's in 1978. He went 4 for 9 for the Bend Timber Hawks. In 1979, the catcher hit .230 in 61 AB for the independent Newark Co-Pilots. He later pitched for the Springfield (IL) Cardinals in 1984 while serving as the manager; he was in in mop-up duty in four games, with a 6.43 ERA, walking 6 in 7 innings.
His son, Matt Rigoli, was drafted in the 2008 amateur draft.
