In 1989, Joe Pittman played for the Winter Haven Super Sox of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He hit .337 with 38 RBIs in 69 games for the club. Pittman also led the league with most games played at second base with 67.
In 1990, he played for the St. Petersburg Pelicans of the SPBA. He played in 21 games and batted .258 with 11 RBI before the league folded.
