Joe Gleason pitched 48 ⅔ innings in the majors, for the Washington Senators in 1920 and 1922. He was a teammate of Walter Johnson, Goose Goslin and Sam Rice.
In a long minor league career, he won over 160 games.
He was born and died in Phelps, NY, north of the Finger Lakes and (now) near the New York State Thruway.
