[edit] Biographical Information
From 1922 through 1930 Joe Genewich appeared as a pitcher in 272 games for the Boston Braves and the New York Giants. He was a sandlot pitcher who came to the majors without pitching in college or the minors. He lost more games than he won in the majors partly because he spent most of his career with Boston teams that were usually doormats. The Giants teams, while good, were not pennant-winners. He also had 12 saves.
Great Lakes Training Station;Joe Genewich served in the U.S. Army in both World Wars I and II (BN).
