[edit] Biographical Information
Joe Beckwith pitched seven years in the majors, mostly with the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, even though the Dodgers often went to the World Series in the 1970s and 1980s, his only appearance in a Series was in 1985 when he was with the Kansas City Royals. He pitched 2 innings without giving up a run in Game 4.
Beckwith typically had better than average ERA's, with a peak in 1980 when he had a 1.96 ERA in 38 appearances. Later, in 1984 with the Royals, he had a record of 8-4 with two saves.
As of 2005 he ran Couch Ready Mix USA Concrete in Auburn, AL.
