[edit] Biographical Information

Catcher Joe Becker played two seasons for the Cleveland Indians in 1936 and 1937 and several more in the minor leagues. After serving in the Navy during World War II, missing 1944-1945, he managed in the minors for several years. He went on to serve as a pitching coach for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1964, the St. Louis Cardinals in 1965 and 1966 and the Chicago Cubs from 1967 to 1970.
