Jimmy Zinn is the father of Jimmy Zinn Jr., a minor league player from 1947-1953.
Zinn pitched professionaly from 1915 to 1939. He collected 295 minor league wins with a 3.52 ERA in 4,394 innings. He also batted .301 in 2,482 at bats.
In July, 1952 Zinn was the first player named to the Kansas City Blues' Hall of Fame.
