[edit] Biographical Information

Jimmy Jordan played four years for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1930's.

He played for Richmond in part of 1933, and participated in a tour of the Caribbean that Richmond did after the season. A teammate at Richmond was Johnny Mize. Mize and Jordan were then signed to play for a Venezuelan team that also featured Josh Gibson and Luis Aparicio Sr. for that team's Caribbean tour.

He played for Columbus in 1937, going to the Little World Series.

In 1939 he was player-manager for the Hutchinson Pirates in the Western Association, leading the league in batting. He also managed the team for part of 1940 and then became the manager of the London Pirates for the remainder of 1940 and 1941.

He also worked for the Joe Stripp School of Baseball in Florida.
