- Coach for Chicago White Sox 1951-1952; Baltimore Orioles 1957-1961; Houston Astros 1962-1965
- Scouted for the Orioles, Kansas City A's/Oakland A's, and Kansas City Royals. Adair also scouted for the Dallas Eagles in 1953, after switching jobs with Clyde McDowell.
His son, Steve Adair, was the head coach at Southern Methodist University from 1977 to 1980. Steve also coached at the University of Plano.
