Three time All-Star in 1954, 1955, and 1956.
Was a scout for the Houston Astros for eight years. He was hired by the Milwaukee Brewers as director of scouting and farm development in 1971, becoming vice-president in 1972. He then became the first head of the Major League Scouting Bureau.
