Jim Rogers made an impact in his brief major league career. Although he wasn't much of a hitter, he played all over the infield in his 151 major league games and also was manager in 1897. He left shortly before Honus Wagner came up as a rookie on the team.
On May 27, 1897, he successfully used the hidden ball trick.
