[edit] Biographical Information
In 1990, Jim Pankovits played for the San Bernardino Pride of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He played in 25 games and was batting .266 with one home run and 10 RBI when the league folded.
After his playing career, Pankovits was a minor league manager in the Boston Red Sox (1992-1994) and Houston Astros (1995-1999) organizations. He was then the Astros minor league infield coordinator, then minor league defense coordinator through 2005. In 2006 he became the manager of the Salem Avalanche.
