Jim McLeod came out of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he was from 1927-30, and played in the majors in May 1930. After coming back in 1932, he got most of his big league at-bats in 1933.
Although his major league career didn't last, he went on to a long minor league career, playing through 1946 (with a break in 1944-45). From 1946-49 he managed in the minors.
