Jim Lindeman graduated from Maine West High School in Des Plaines, IL in 1979. He was signed as a 1st round pick in the 1983 amateur draft by the St. Louis Cardinals and scouting supervisor Jim Belz. After his professional career, he returned to Illinois as a baseball coach at Rolling Meadows High School.
