Jim Hickman was the center fielder on the 1917 Brooklyn Robins, playing between Zack Wheat and Casey Stengel. It was his only year with more than 200 at-bats, although he played four other seasons in the majors.
He started in the Federal League in 1915, with the Baltimore Terrapins, a team that lost 107 games.
