Jim Clark played 13 games for the Cleveland Indians in 1971, a team which lost 102 games in spite of featuring Vada Pinson, Graig Nettles, Chris Chambliss, Ray Fosse and Sam McDowell.
Clark is one of three major leaguers (through 2008) with the name "Jim Clark". The others played in 1911-1912 and 1948.
Jim, who was primarily an outfielder in the minors, started in 1965 with Wytheville, hitting .332 and slugging .523. He hit .300+ a couple of times for Burlington, once for Leesburg, once for Wichita and once for Omaha. He out-hit George Brett on the 1973 Omaha team.
