Jim Bowie began his 12-year minor league career in the Seattle Mariners organization and also spent time with the Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics and San Diego Padres organizations. He batted .288 with 87 home runs and 703 RBI in 1,263 minor league games. He played in six games with Oakland in 1994, his only Major League stint.
