Pitcher Jim Beckman appeared in two seasons of professional baseball with the Major League Cincinnati Reds. He made his debut on July 27, 1927 and appeared in ten games, pitching 27 2/3 innings with a 5.86 ERA for an 0-2 record. Jim pitched in his final game on September 22, 1928.
Records do not show any activity for Beckman in the minor leagues. He died suddenly at the age of 69 on December 5, 1974 at his home in Montgomery, OH.
