Jesús Delgado was one of the four prospects sent by the Boston Red Sox to the Florida Marlins in return for Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell before the 2006 season. Delgado accompanied Hanley Ramirez, Anibal Sanchez and Harvey Garcia to Florida and made his major league debut with the Marlins on September 17, 2008.
