Jess Cortazzo played in his only career Major League game on September 1, 1923, as an unsuccessful pinch-hitter for pitcher Red Faber in the 5th inning of the Chicago White Sox rain-shortened blowout win over the Cleveland Indians. Incidentally, he was the youngest player to appear in the Majors that year.
