Jeremy Sowers was chosen in the 1st round of the 2004 amateur draft by the Cleveland Indians as the 6th overall pick. He was also chosen in the first round of the 2001 amateur draft by the Cincinnati Reds but he accepted a scholarship to Vanderbilt University instead.
Sowers' twin brother Josh was chosen in the tenth round of the 2005 amateur draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
