Jeremy Giambi played six years in the majors. His best year was 2002, split between two teams, when he had an on-base percentage of .414 and a slugging percentage of .505. Jeremy played nine years in the minors, posting a line of .321/.435/.539. He had two game-winning, extra-inning hits in 2000.
Giambi has been linked to the distribution of human growth hormone throughout the major leagues. He was one of the witnesses listed by the prosecution in the Trial of Barry Bonds in 2011.
He is the brother of Jason Giambi.
Both Jeremy and Mark Kotsay were at California State University, Fullerton from 1994 to 1996. The team reached the College World Series in 1994 and 1995.
