Jeremy Accardo was drafted by the San Francisco Giants, but was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2006 for Shea Hillenbrand and Vinnie Chulk.

Accardo led all Giants minor leaguers with 28 saves in 2004. He earned his first win on June 4, 2006 against the Mets. He became the Blue Jays' closer after B.J. Ryan was lost to an injury early in 2007 and recorded 30 saves with an excellent 2.14 ERA in 67.3 innings.

Currently wears number 49.
