Jeff Williams has pitched for the Australian national team in the Olympics twice and has appeared in two Japan Series for the Hanshin Tigers. In 2007, Williams had 45 consecutive scoreless games from May 3 to September 18, with his ERA falling to 0.15 by the end of that amazing stretch. Williams slumped after that to finish with a 0.96 ERA and 1-2 record in 60 outings as a set-up man for Kyuji Fujikawa.
The Mitchell Report claimed to have found a check Williams wrote for steroids. Williams denied ever having used steroids.
