Jeff Schattinger gave up no runs during his three innings in the majors with the 1981 Royals. He was three years younger than George Brett.
Schattinger's father, Dick Schattinger, was a minor league infielder 1947-1949.
Jeff was at USC at the same time as eight other future major leaguers, the most prominent of which was Dave Engle.
