[edit] Biographical Information

Jeff Byrd, at age 20, started 17 games for the expansion 1977 Blue Jays who lost 107 games. The oldest player on the team, at age 38, was Ron Fairly. Byrd is still the youngest starting pitcher in the history of the Toronto Blue Jays.

He attended El Capitan High School. He played for Syracuse in 1978.
