Jeff Bronkey was born, oddly enough, in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1965. He was a teammate of Pete Incaviglia and Doug Dascenzo at Oklahoma State University in the middle 1980s. Later, in his rookie year in 1993, he was a teammate of Dascenzo along with Juan Gonzalez, Jose Canseco, and Rafael Palmeiro on the Texas Rangers, at a time when George W. Bush was associated with the team.
