Catcher Jay Schroeder was drafted in the 1st round of the 1979 amateur draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He would play in the Blue Jays system, but never made the majors.
Schroeder was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1984 NFL draft by the Washington Redskins and go on to much more success in football than in baseball.
