Javier Armando Herrera

Javier Herrera began his American professional career in 2003, with the AZL Athletics, hitting .230 in 17 games. With the Vancouver Canadians in 2004, he hit .331 with 12 home runs and 23 stolen bases in 65 games. Herrera played for the Kane County Cougars (94 games) and Sacramento River Cats (five games) in 2005, hitting a combined .280 with 14 home runs and 27 stolen bases. He missed all of 2006, but in 2007 he hit a combined .269 with 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases for the Stockton Ports and Midland RockHounds. In 2008, he played for Midland, hitting .267 with nine home runs and eight stolen bases in 61 games. He began 2009 with Midland.
