[edit] Biographical Information
Pitcher Jason Verdugo attended Arizona State University, where he also played football. He was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the 12th round of the 1997 amateur draft and played four years in their organization, reaching the AAA level. He returned to the field briefly with the St. Paul Saints of the Northern League in 2004, going 5-5 in 17 appearances with four complete games as his club captured the league title.
Verdugo was head baseball coach at Hamline University from 2002 to 2007. Following the 2007 season, he became manager of the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League.
