Pitcher Jamie Bennett was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 22nd round of the 2000 amateur draft and played two seasons in their chain for the Batavia Muckdogs. He then pitched for four years in the independent leagues. Beginning in 2006, he was pitching coach for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He was named manager of the Schaumburg Boomers prior to the 2012 season.
