Jalal Leach played 8 games in the major leagues with the 2001 San Francisco Giants. His minor league career stretched from 1990 to at least 2003. He also played 9 years of winter ball.
He was especially successful with Fresno in 1998 and 2000. In 1998 in 35 games he hit .354 and slugged .654, while in 2000 in 51 games he hit .379 and slugged .692.
In 1998 he was the hitting coach for the Single A San Jose Giants.
He currently runs a company called Baseball Mentoring Program in Sacramento, CA with his brother Jarman Leach who was a pitcher in the San Diego Padres (1994-1996) organization. Jalal is also an Associate Scout for the Colorado Rockies.
