Jake Thielman, a year older than his brother Henry Thielman, was at Manhattan College at a time which overlapped when his brother was there. The younger Henry came first to the majors, and Jake followed a few years later. Both pitched for several teams in the majors.
Jake was in the minors between the years 1897 and 1910. Along with pitching, he also sometimes played the outfield.
