Lamar "Jake" Jacobs played ten games in the majors.
In the minors, he hit .313 in 1959 with Sanford. He also hit around .290 with both Indianapolis and Syracuse in 1961.
He was signed out of Ohio University in 1959 (Joe Nossek was also there in 1959), and was up in the majors by 1960.
Jacobs played center field in the majors in 1961. The Twins' regular center fielder that year was Lenny Green.
