Jake Aydelott played two seasons in the majors. He was in the American Association both years. While his 5-7 record in 1884 may not sound like much, his team only won 29 games all season, going 29-78.

Patent No. 336076 was issued to Jacob S. Aydelott on February 16, 1886 for a "Parlor Baseball Game".

He played in the minor leagues from 1883 to 1889.
