Biographical Information[edit]

Jae-kyun Hwang is a corner infielder in the Korea Baseball Organization.

Hwang debuted in 2007 with the Hyundai Unicorns, fresh from high school, hitting .300/~.326/.375 in 63 games. In 2008, Jae-kyun batted .239/~.281/.288 in 117 contests as the team became the Woori Heroes. Hwang has started 2009 strong, with 8 homers and 30 RBI in the first 37 games and hitting .324/.401/.572.

In January 2017, reports emerged that the San Francisco Giants were about to sign Hwang to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. He was promised $1.5 million were he to make the opening day roster.
