The Jackson Generals began play in the Texas League in 1991 when the Jackson Mets were renamed after becoming an affiliate of the Houston Astros. The team won league titles in 1993 and 1996. After the 1999 season, the club relocated and became the Round Rock Express.
For their entire existence, the Generals called Smith-Wills Stadium home.
