[edit] Biographical Information
Jack McCarthy is listed in most reference sources as having died on September 11, 1931. However, that date is incorrect as McCarthy played in an old-timers game in Chicago in 1933, and it was known that McCarthy was working as a tailor in Chicago in the 1930s and married one Jessie Halpin from Kansas City, who died in 1943. However, McCarthy's death date is still unknown.
